Book Title: The Valentine's Arrangement Author: Kelsie Leverich Genre: Contemporary Romance Release Date: January 1, 2013 Hosted by: Book Enthusiast Promotions
Ronnie Clark is a strong, hard ass, stubborn woman that wants nothing to do with love or Valentine's day of course! She has been hurt too many times, and is against anything more than sex.
Sargent First Class Kale Emerson comes home on mid tour leave, but not because he wants to be. He just wants to get through his break and get back to his men as soon as possible and does not have time or room in his heart for a relationship. When he walks into a tattoo parlor and meets the sassy Ronnie Clark, they come up with an arrangement that may change their lives forever. Can Ronnie break her rules and let love in one more time? Can Kale deal with some of his issues from war and add Ronnie as a part of his struggles and hardships as a soldier with big responsibilities and always putting his men first?
I am an Army wife, and I always enjoy a good military romance. Unfortunately many that I have read are so sappy and they miss the mark on the issues that come with loving a soldier. It is not just men in uniform are hot and distance makes the heart grow fonder. Love and war is not some hot romantic fairy tale and there are walls that need broken down and heart ache in the process. I feel that Kelsie hit this story on the mark and although it has romance, it also has truth behind issues that soldier's face. Ronnie wasn't a love sick puppy pining for a soldier either, and they had to help each other through their insecurities and issues that nobody else could have! I loved this story and the journey it took me on, and seeing how Kelsie views military life and romance through her eyes! This was a 4 star read for me, and I cannot wait to see what Kelsie comes out with in the future!
